Research participation is off unless you explicitly opt in from your private dashboard. Declining has no effect on your access, sessions or shared report. Each partner decides independently; neither can consent for the other or see the other’s research choice.

Purpose and limits

Vohux / Eiman Rahimi operates this independent, not-for-profit questionnaire project. Optional research examines answer distributions, repeated-answer consistency and patterns of similarity and difference, to improve the questionnaire and explore its measurement properties. It does not establish compatibility, demonstrated problem-solving skill or marriage outcomes. AI-assisted content review is not human validation. No institutional ethics approval or independent human review is claimed for this optional research program.

What your permission covers

Your opt-in expressly covers your already-submitted and future submitted scenario answers, their questionnaire versions and session/form numbers, and submitted relationship-status and satisfaction check-ins if you separately choose to enable those check-ins. Drafts, mood, stress and interruption check-ins are excluded from research exports. Consent to research does not enable private check-ins or report sharing. No earlier service consent is treated as research permission.

Research exports require current permission from both partners and an intact couple link. If either person declines, withdraws, deletes their account or reaches their research expiry date, neither partner’s answers from that couple are eligible for new research exports. Your opt-in can retain your account even if your partner declines; withdraw if you no longer want this extension.

No names or contact details in research records

We do not ask for your name, email, address, birth date or other direct identification. Research extracts contain answer choices and random research codes, including a code for pairing responses. They exclude service account IDs, aliases, return keys, cookies, network identifiers and exact participation timestamps. These coded records are pseudonymous, not anonymous: the protected service keeps the code-to-account link so withdrawal and deletion remain possible. Answer patterns may still be sensitive or recognizable to someone who knows you.

Connection information can be processed by Cloudflare to deliver and protect the service. It is excluded from research extracts. See the privacy notice for encryption, infrastructure, backups and ordinary service storage.

Retention and access

Opting in retains your private account and encrypted answers for five years from your first research opt-in, or longer only if your ordinary service retention independently applies. Turning permission off and on never restarts the five-year research period. Your dashboard shows the exact deadline. Research exports are restricted to the project operator for the stated statistical purpose; individual-level records are not made public, sold or sent to generative-AI services. Any additional recipient or materially different purpose requires a new information sheet and consent.

There is no payment and no guaranteed personal benefit. Possible benefits are better questionnaire design; risks include accidental disclosure, inference from answer patterns and discomfort about relationship topics. You can skip questions and stop using the service.

Withdrawal and deletion

Choose Withdraw my research permission in your dashboard at any time. This immediately excludes your couple from new research exports and removes your research retention extension. Your answers can still be saved for private reflection under its separate storage rules. To remove active service answers too, delete your account.

The operator must regenerate restricted extracts before every analysis and remove superseded working extracts, so withdrawn records are not used in subsequent analyses. Withdrawal cannot retract findings already incorporated into completed aggregate analyses or publications. We publish aggregate findings only, with disclosure controls for small groups. Provider recovery copies may retain deleted records for up to 30 days; restoration must reapply withdrawals and deletions before service or research use resumes.
